Pricing and Information

We offer honest and transparent pricing across our range of laptops for sale. Occasionally, mistakes can happen on pricing due to human error.

If by mistake we have underpriced an item, we will not be liable to supply that item to you at the stated price, provided that we notify you before we despatch the item to you. In those circumstances, we will notify the correct price to you so you can decide whether or not you wish to proceed with the order. If you decide not to order the item, we will give you a full refund on any amount already paid for that item in accordance with our refund policy.

Prices displayed are correct at the time of entry, and what the law calls an “invitation to treat”. You cannot insist that a shop sells you anything at a marked price, whether or not they have made a mistake. Under the law, a retailer is entitled to decide the price they want to charge for goods. In the same way you don’t have to buy goods from anyone, a retailer is under no obligation to sell you anything.

Payment Methods and Currency

Our website is secured by 256-bit encryption for your personal details and your payment information. We do not store any of your card details, they are securely processed by our payment merchant, Elavon. We don’t have the ability to store, or repeat bill your card.

We accept Visa Debit, Visa Credit, Visa Electron, Mastercard Debit, Mastercard Credit and American Express. Our website charges in British Pounds, if you’re shopping from overseas you’ll see the converted amount on your bank statement.

We offer PayPal as a method of payment; additional finance options such as PayPal pay in 3, or PayPal credit are subject to eligibility and we do not have any control over those, and cannot assist with PayPal finance queries.

We can only send goods to your registered PayPal address.

On some products, we may offer financial services through Klarna. The payment terms are displayed on the product page. We do not have access to Klarna’s decision-making for declined applications. Klarna performs a hard credit search that will show on your profile. You should consider the impact of obtaining credit before you make your purchase.

We can accept Bank Transfer as payment, these payments are processed by our accounts team during usual working hours. If we don’t receive your payment within 24 hours of receiving your order we’ll cancel your order and release the stock.

Where deposits are payable, these are non-refundable.

Discounts and Voucher Codes

On occasion, we may offer a discount on your order or certain items using a discount or voucher code. These codes are applicable for online transactions only and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. We reserve the right to end or extend these promotions at any time and without notice.

Discount codes are only available to retail customers choosing to purchase one or more items. Voucher codes may not be used against wholesale, bulk-purchasing or any re-sale environment. A fair usage policy may be implied.

Regretfully, we can’t process discount codes retrospectively – please make sure you apply them at the time of order.

Import Duties

The cost of any import duties or taxes are not included in our prices. We will not be responsible for any additional charges for importing goods.

Timescales

Once you place an order with us, we’ll send you an order acknowledgment. We aim to confirm and dispatch your order within two working days. This allows time for our technicians to prepare, and perform any upgrades you’ve selected on your order.

We will dispatch your order using the estimated timescales on our website. These timescales are dependent on:

  • The time of day you placed your order
  • Whether you placed an order on a non-working day (weekend)
  • The availability of stock

Should an undue delay happen with the processing of your order, you will be entitled to cancel and receive a full refund.

Your order is handed over to our delivery partners for delivery. The delivery timings offered for delivery are estimations only and are subject to the timescales set out by the delivery partner. More information can be found on our delivery information page.

Placing an Order

At the checkout you’ll be shown the available delivery services and delivery timescales. These are estimates only, and we make no guarantee on the dates shown. More information on delivery, charges and timescales can be found on our delivery information page.

Please ensure you’ve entered the correct address at the time of purchase by checking your order confirmation email. Please call us immediately if your details are incorrect. A fee will be payable if your parcel is re-routed to/from another depot where the original address isn’t correct.

We send our orders using a tracked and insured service, usually DPD. When we’ve dispatched your order ready for collection by DPD you’ll receive an email, SMS and app notification to let you know it’s on the way. You’ll receive your one-hour delivery window on the morning of delivery. Please ensure someone is available to receive your parcel, as we cannot leave it in a safe place.

If you suspect that the items being delivered have been damaged in transit, then you should refuse the delivery or sign for them as damaged goods.

If something is missing, please get in touch within 48 hours – we have a limited period of time to contact the delivery company.

Terms relating to Repairs

By leaving your equipment with Laptop Station you agree to the following:

  1. Repairs undertaken by Laptop Station carry a Three Month warranty, activated upon receipt of the item.
  2. No Warranty is offered if we are requested to wipe products without servicing them first. Warranties cover the specific repair only. A service or diagnostic is required for Three Month Warranty entitlement on PCs or Laptops.
  3. Laptop Station does not cover under its warranty any parts supplied by the customer or a third party.
  4. We reserve the right to refuse a warranty repair if it is believed the failure is self-inflicted. For example – viruses caused by going online without virus protection, hard drive failures due to impact or water damage. Screens not functioning where scratches or dents are visible.
  5. Mobile phones or Tablets with frames bent/misshapen will not be covered under warranty if the screen or glass lifts or comes loose.
  6. Laptop Station offers no warranties on any device with signs of liquid damage.
  7. Laptop Station does not cover any subsequent or additional failures. E.g. Screen replacement, but then the battery fails within three months.
  8. It is at Laptop Stations discretion whether to offer a refund on an already fitted product that has suffered a critical failure. E.g. digitizer replacement, the phone later fails completely.
  9. Laptop Station will not be held responsible for any further damage while taking apart a product with existing issues unless caused by negligence. E.g. removing a phone screen which is already damaged to replace a battery or damaged hinges on a laptop failing when replacing a hard drive.
  10. Repairs must be collected and paid for within 30 days of work finished or will be sold off or disposed of in order to recover costs.
  11. Labour and postage costs are strictly non-refundable
  12. Laptop Station will not be held responsible for any loss of data, howsoever arising. It is advised to make a Backup of your data before instructing Laptop Station to work on your product.
  13. While every effort is made, it is not always possible to recover all data. For example, when doing Data Transfers or Backups & Rebuilds.
  14. The customer’s responsible for backing up all of their data before sending it to Laptop Station.
  15. While we endeavour to complete all work quickly, we can only offer estimated timescales, and never guarantees.
  16. If parts have been ordered after being confirmed verbally or in writing by the customer, this order cannot then be canceled once parts have been ordered.
  17. All products sent to Laptop Station will be listed accordingly. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure all products are listed.
  18. Be aware, any pre-existing manufacturer warranties may be voided by instructing Laptop Station to work on your device. It is the customer’s responsibility to weigh the risks prior to instructing Laptop Station to do work.
  19. Laptop Station cannot warrant work when lock codes or passwords are not supplied, meaning we cannot test your device.

Full Warranty Terms

  1. If you think there is a problem with your item the first thing to do is contact us via support@laptopstation.co.uk.
  2. All warranties are strictly Return-to-Base.
  3. Laptop Station cannot collect items outside of the UK, it will be the customers responsibility to return.
  4. Laptop Station will arrange and cover costs for one collection on the customers chosen weekday. Your collection date can be changed as long as one working day notice is given.
  5. Laptops purchased and collected using our Click & Collect service are return to base and are not eligible for collection by courier.
  6. If you miss your collection, we can re-arrange for another day at a cost of £7.19, or alternatively, you can take your parcel to your local post office.
  7. If there is a manufacturing issue with your product we will repair it under warranty. Please contact us to begin the warranty process.
  8. Warranty Repairs can take an estimated 10-15 working days from when we receive the item. This may vary depending on the type of repair and the availability of parts if required.
  9. If an item cannot be repaired we will offer a replacement product.
  10. Fair wear and tear will be taken into consideration when making a warranty claim. Examples include wear to keyboards or trackpads due to usage, marks/dead pixels appearing on LCDs or overheating caused by blocked/dirty fans.
  11. Dead pixels are not covered under warranty. Any claim will be decided on a case-by-case basis, depending on the number and positioning of said deal pixels.
  12. Warranties vary in length depending on the product and are listed on the sales page and your receipt. If you are unsure please contact us.
  13. Warranties are non-transferrable.
  14. Online purchases are covered by Distance Selling Regulations which allow you to change your mind within 14 days of receipt of goods. You then have 14 days to return the goods at your own cost. The goods must be in an unused state and returned in the original packaging.
  15. Brand new & Sealed products must be returned with the seal unbroken.
  16. Purchases of New products made in-store can be returned within 14 days if there is a manufacturing fault.
  17. Purchases of New products made in-store can be returned within 14 days provided the seal is unbroken and they are unused.
  18. Extended warranties are device specific and cannot be transferred to another device unless exchanged within 30-Days of purchase.
  19. Cables, including laptop chargers, are non-returnable.
  20. New batteries purchased cannot be returned due to being a consumable item.
  21. Accessories can be returned within 14 days for a full refund in their unopened/sealed packaging only.
  22. Purchases of refurbished products can be exchanged within 30-Days for another product of equal or higher value.
  23. Items that are upgraded, such as RAM and Storage upgrades, cannot be returned as unwanted as they are customised and Made to Order but may be exchanged within 30-Days.
  24. Removed components (HDDs, SSDs, RAM) from upgrades are retained by Laptop Station in exchange for charging no labour for said upgrades.
  25. Laptops listed as “Like new, minor wear” may contain a minor mark/scratch/scuff that is deemed minimal to overall condition.
  26. If dissatisfied with condition please contact us within 14-working days of receipt of goods.
  27. Items being returned must have their original accessories and packaging and with a valid receipt. Returns or Exchanges will not be considered unless these conditions are met.
  28. Coupon codes provided for an exchange will be for laptop and hardware upgrades only. Software purchased or software upgrades will not be offered as part of a coupon.
  29. Software related issues, howsoever arising, are not covered by warranty and are not eligible grounds for a refund.
  30. Software such as Anti-Virus and Office packages cannot be returned.
  31. Extended Warranties are non-refundable after 30-Days.
  32. Preloaded software sold originally with items or configured when new are not guaranteed to be available. For example, Microsoft Office Subscriptions.
  33. If you wish to return your item you must send it back by recorded delivery and well packaged. We cannot return items if they arrive damaged or are lost in transit.
  34. If an item is not eligible for a warranty repair then you will be quoted for repairs, it is your decision whether to proceed at that point.
  35. Items returned for a warranty claim will be subject to a full test. If found that damage or failure is not a result of a manufacturing fault (e.g. misuse, dropped), your warranty claim will be rejected.
  36. If an issue or fault is found to be a user error or not covered under warranty (eg Software), or no fault is found on inspection, then delivery costs of £14.99 must be covered by the customer and a £19.99 inspection fee will be charged.
  37. Laptop Station will use its discretion to ascertain where fair wear and tear may apply.
  38. Hinge or Backlid failure is not covered by warranty except that the fault is a known recalled issue by the manufacturer.
  39. All Machines come with a Warranty Sticker, if this is damaged or removed, it will void it.
  40. Warranties will be processed as follows; Repair, Replace, and Refund. We will always seek to Repair an item first. If an item cannot be repaired, we will Replace it with a like-for-like item. If an item can not be repaired or replaced, then it will be refunded
  41. Chargers are covered for the first 30 Days.
  42. Batteries are not guaranteed unless Dead on Arrival (DOA). You must notify us within 7 days of delivery.
  43. The original advertised battery life cannot be guaranteed.
  44. We cannot guarantee all original Function (Fn) keys will work (such as Brightness and Volume), particularly on older models due to incompatibility with the original software and Windows 10.
  45. We cannot guarantee all touchpad gestures will function on older models due to incompatibility with the original software and Windows 10.
  46. Not all originally advertised additional accessories will be supplied unless specifically mentioned on the products listing.
  47. Ex-Business laptops may be linked to previous owners. This will not impact the in-Windows usage of your purchase.
  48. If a warranty claim is made and processed, the warranty on the item will not restart but continue from the original date of purchase.
  49. Laptop Station will pay for One Collection/Delivery only. Suppose the Collection or Delivery fails because the customer is unavailable or the incorrect address is provided. You may be charged for a second delivery or collection attempt in that case.
  50. If you choose to send your item at your expense for a valid warranty return, then Laptop Station will cover up to £6.
  51. Laptop Station will not cover or accept any work conducted by any Third Party unless otherwise stated.
  52. Removal of the warranty sticker will result in a void of warranty.
  53. Any work conducted by any Third Party will void your warranty with Laptop Station. Warranties are strictly Return-to-Base only.
  54. Accessories purchased can be returned within 30 days if they develop a fault. A replacement, exchange or refund will be offered.
  55. In some cases, Laptop Station may accept a return minus a 20% Restocking fee or £40.00 flat fee depending on usage and condition.
  56. If you believe an item is missing or has not been returned, eg chargers, you must notify Laptop Station within 48 hours of receiving the goods.
  57. Laptop Station will not cover consequential losses, howsoever arising.
  58. Laptop Station reserved the right to amend or add to these Terms & Conditions at any time.
  59. Where a situation cannot be covered by our Terms & Conditions, we will refer to the Consumer Rights Act.
