This laptop comes with 8GB installed. Generally speaking, the more memory available the more apps you can have open at once - and the more smoothly.
For everyday tasks 8GB should be sufficient. If you're using apps like Photoshop, video editing or streaming 4k video we'd recommend a minimum of 16GB.
This laptop comes with Chrome OS installed. If you need to upgrade your operating system, you can do this by choosing the upgrade options at the top of the page.
